From the page: "...if I had to design a mechanism for the express purpose of destroying a child's natural
curiosity and love of pattern-making, I couldn't possibly do as good a job as is currently being
done-- I simply wouldn't have the imagination to come up with the kind of senseless, soulcrushing
ideas that constitute contemporary mathematics education."

From the page: "Neuroanatomist Jill Bolte Taylor had an opportunity few brain scientists would wish for: One morning, she realized she was having a massive stroke. As it happened -- as she felt her brain functions slip away one by one, speech, movement, understanding -- she studied and remembered every moment. This is a powerful story of recovery and awareness -- of how our brains define us and connect us to the world and to one another."

An unfortunate kid on the receiving end of violent bullying gets international news coverage via the NY Times. There's a "Not Cool Billy Wolfe haters" group on Facebook. Ten bucks says he gets a book or movie deal out of this. Good for him! :-)
